It has been rather slow going as of late. Mostly because we’re waiting for the advertising department to give us the okay and go ahead for the brochure for the camp, hopefully this will happen before thanksgiving. In the meantime I’ve been working on a solicitation request to perhaps create a scholarship program for our camps, to perhaps broaden the sense of civic engagement, and to broaden the number of students that wish to attend in future years.

Kinda forgot this existed

Well I do have an internship now, I’m working with Dr Rivard on the Meadowbrook writing project, and promoting their summer writing program. So far we’ve met with Oakland’s marketing department to look at possible brochure application and sorted through several pictures through previous years to use in it. Dr Rivard and I have attended workshops on using Oakland’s html tools in order to build a proper site for the MWP, and I’m currently developing a video showcase for the project as well.

Now that we’re up and moving I’ll be sure to update more frequently.

Quick Summary

For my capstone I will be attempting to find an internship, relating to the writing and rhetoric field. As of yet I have been unsuccessful in my attempts to acquire one, but I am currently following several leads. Hopefully by my next update I’ll have something more substantial to talk about.
